Democracy in Iraq, part IV

One more for now, then back to the election and current policy discussion. I have long since been able to recognize that troops are already in Iraq, and the time to be against the war has passed, and I have no intentions of this section snowballing into an antiwar argument.

1. Former president George H.W. Bush explains why he left Saddam in Iraq during the first Gulf War. Perhaps he foresaw the chaotic environment that would follow his removal.

2. The presence of U.S. military has given the jihadis ammunition to kill civilians.

3. The Bush administration cannot agree with itself on whether the war in Iraq is being managed properly.
